Compounds of villas are high-end residential estates, segregated from their urban or suburban surroundings by fences with a single access point. Some are close or surrounded by water fronts. Dependent on the sizes of plots, the detached units often stand in close proximity. Internal streets are primarily for car access. Units have integrated garage.
